WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO
The Tecumseh BIA is a progressive association of business and property owners who work in partnership with the Town to foster Tecumseh's retail and service sectors as a successful and increasingly competitive business area. We interpret this mandate as a process by which our business community generates a unified voice in finding local solutions to common economic trends.
As a catalyst for community economic growth, the Tecumseh BIA is a significant contributor to the health and welfare of the local economy, civic improvements, and quality of life. Throughout the year, the Tecumseh BIA progressively introduces innovative business retention and expansion initiatives, community events and festivals, capital improvements and strategic promotions.

The Tecumseh BIA coordinates a wide array of special events that is guaranteed to entertain and even amaze you, such as The Gallery Without Walls Banner Program that celebrate the wealth of creative talent in our area. Artists range from 12 to 64 years of age and top entries are recreated by the artist on vinyl using outdoor acrylic paint. Enjoy a fun day of touring by car, bicycle or even on foot to view all of the vibrant and colourful unique banners that are an addition to our Townscape.

You will also enjoy the successful Art of Eating festival; which is a blend of local bands and entertainment, a varied selection of Essex County wines and showcases some of the finest foods from our local restaurants. The Tecumseh BIA is also responsible for beautiful hanging baskets, Christmas decorations, Tecumseh Bucks and the reusable bags that were given out during the Tecumseh Corn Festival Parade.

If you are looking for a fun or unique gift, chances are you'll find it in Tecumseh's bustling retail areas where specialty shops of all kinds provide a wide variety of items to tempt the shopper. You will find in Tecumseh's The Great Mallternative®, where fashion, art, novelty gifts, antiques, jewellery, books, flowers, crafts, and much more are available. Tecumseh also has a cornucopia of restaurants that offer organic, exotic and a variety of diverse food establishments.

Tecumseh's BIA represents all of the business owners within a geographical boundary which encompasses Old Tecumseh Town, St. Clair Beach, Riverside Drive at Lesperance Road, the area South of County Road 22 including Sylvester Drive, and businesses on Lesperance Road South of County Road 22.

Tecumseh BIA is proud to represent the Town of Tecumseh, with all its services and shops which we invite you to experience. Its distinguished history and its vibrant present, provides you a place to savour all the finer things in life and be treated to old style service at its best in a relaxed paced and friendly atmosphere. ABOUT TECUMSEH DOLLARS
The BIA works on behalf of businesses to beautify the town and to create opportunity to showcase the town and all that we have to offer. Yes, they're the group that give away the reusable bags during the Corn Festival Parade.
The BIA also provides the sought after BIA Tecumseh Dollars. These dollars are redeemable for merchandise or services at businesses that are members within the Tecumseh BIA boundaries. The purpose of the Tecumseh Dollar program is to keep business in Tecumseh. The user gets to shop and/or receive services locally. Tecumseh Dollars are sold in $10.00 denominations and businesses consider them as cash.
Tecumseh Dollars are great to use for customer appreciation, employee recognition, or make the perfect gift for any occasion. They can be purchased at the Tecumseh BIA office located at: 1189 Lacasse Blvd (in the Water Division and Parks Building) located at the corner of Lacasse Blvd. and Tecumseh Rd E.
