Enter the Tecumseh BIA 14th Annual Street Pole Banner Contest
The Town of Tecumseh Business Improvement Area (TOTBIA) is hosting its 14th Annual Street Pole Banner Contest; a “Gallery Without Walls” program. Gallery Without Walls, is an initiative of the TOTBIA. This vibrant and colourful addition to our townscape is a visual testament to our local talent. Banners painted by local artists of all ages and digital photos hang on town street poles from May to November. This incredibly colourful and unique town streetscape is enjoyed by the local community and visitors alike. We encourage everyone to enter this exciting contest; show your talent and creativity and most importantly, have fun!
This Year’s Theme:
“WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE BOOK CHARACTER”
Get out your pencils, pens, paints and/or camera and show us who is your favorite character/hero from a book or story! If your design or photo is selected it will be digitally reprinted and considered finished artwork that will be digitally reproduced on both sides of a 28″ wide by 44″ high street pole banner.
NOTE:Please keep in mind that simple, close-up designs/photos are the most effective; people driving in vehicles only have 3-4 seconds to see an image on the banner so the bigger the image the better.
All drawings and/or photographs MUST be submitted on 4″ wide by 6″ high vertical media.
After winners have been selected, pictures of each banner, title and person’s name will be listed in the Shoreline and on the TOTBIA website Gallery page.
