
TOTBIA Board & Staff
Town of Tecumseh BIA Board of Management are Directors that the membership selects by vote and then are appointed by Town Council. Currently the TOTBIA Board consist of seven (7) Directors, selected by a vote of the members at an Annual General Meeting, following an election year, and then appointed as Directors by Town Council. In addition, Town Council shall appoint two (2) Directors and one (1) Council Liaison. The Council Liaison is required to attend meetings and take part in sub-committee meetings, but does not have a vote. Directors shall each have one vote. A quorum for conducting any meeting of the Board shall consist of a majority plus one. The Board shall assume office the first day following the appointment by Town Council. The Board shall have the following Officers: Chair, Vice Chair and Treasurer. At the first meeting of the Board, the Board shall, among themselves, elect the Officers. The Board’s Term of Office runs concurrently with that of Town Council – four (4) year term, with continuation until successors are appointed.
Board meetings are held the third Wednesday of each month at the Town of Tecumseh BIA office (12122 Tecumseh Rd. E., Unit 2) at 6:00 p.m. in the BIA Conference Room. All business members of the Town of Tecumseh BIA (TOTBIA) are welcome and encouraged to attend board meetings.

As a new member of the Tecumseh BIA board, she brings decades of experience in retail and community leadership, with past involvement in organizations like the BBB, Women’s Economic Forum, and Windsor-Essex Chamber of Commerce.

Brian Houston
Councillor, Town of Tecumseh Ward 4
This is Councillor Brian Houston’s second term on Council representing Ward 4, first being elected in October 2014. Brian was born and raised in the rural community of Thamesville, Ontario and has been a resident of Tecumseh since 2003 with his wife Elisa Houston and two daughters ages 8 and 10.
Brian attended the University of Windsor where he earned his Bachelor of Commerce Honours Business Administration degree in 2002. He has a career in office products sales and also has financial banking experience. Brian continues to be proud to serve the residents of Ward 4 and all of Tecumseh. He is looking forward to continuing to be a strong community leader and make a positive impact for our residents. He is looking forward to working with his fellow councillors, our administration and the residents of our great Town to ensure Tecumseh is the best place to live, work and raise a family.

Hello! My name is James Dorner and I was born and raised in Tecumseh. I attended St. Anne’s High School and graduated in 2005. After high school, I joined the Canadian Armed Forces. I did 8 years of service as a Combat Engineer and toured Afghanistan. I graduated as a Civil Engineer from the University of Alberta in 2021 and currently a Civil Engineer-in-training. I come from a family of small business owners- locally, Signs and More & Armando’s Pizza Tecumseh. I have recently been appointed as the Councillor for Ward 2 here in Tecumseh and my goal being on the Tecumseh BIA Board of Management is to help promote small business opportunities in town and advertise the Tecumseh BIA to businesses and local residents.
